About Us:
When Roland Butcher created Roland Butcher Soccer Academy, he did so because of his concerns with the availability of quality coaching for kids in this country. His intention was to be different from most other sports organisations. Roland’s overriding philosophy was that all children when placed in a positive supportive environment, have the opportunity to grow and learn at their own pace and ultimately succeed. It was this philosophy and point of difference which has led Roland Butcher Soccer Academy, from a grass roots venture to an established and respected Sports operation in the local communities.
Roland Butcher Soccer Academy methods of operating differ from that of the more traditional Sports Organisations in the industry. Roland Butcher Soccer Academy methods consist of focusing on the child, emphasising both social and emotional development, rather than the traditional form of applying only techniques of the game to teach children.
We have long realised that the role of the individual person’s identity is more important than the talk in hand, therefore the focus on the idea that creating a positive experience and lasting impression for an individual is paramount. We employ fun concepts where the children have a chance to improve and succeed. In the process all the kids feel good about themselves and enjoy the experience, while at the same time capitalise on the goal of learning the basics of Football.
